AŸA (Avia Shoshani) ist eine in Berlin lebende Musikerin. Die Geschichten die sie erzählt, spiegeln ihre marokanisch-jemenitische Wurzeln wieder. AŸAs Songs erzählen von einer Welt innerer Dialoge und tiefer Emotionen, die von Berliner Electro-Pop-Sounds getragen werden.
AŸA (Avia Shoshani) is an all-around genius but is first and foremost a female electro singer-songwriter & artist based in Berlin. Her Moroccan and Yemen roots linger in her spirit and storytelling, which add a beautiful depth of heritage. She is about to release her debut album, produced by Lukas Thielecke and herself. Her songs accompany through a journey of deep sadness, self discovery, endless love and joy.
„My art is about my journey. Since I was very young I was struggling with the whole concept of feeling at home, I’m still looking for one, physically and mentally. Sometimes I feel I’m very close to the feeling but then I betray and convince myself I don’t need one, cuz I’m actually a nomad. My art is about me seeking a home in relationships, in different beds, and on roads. It’s about my own perspective and how I see situations with my own eyes, I understand that the only way for me to win the right people’s hearts, the right people for me if i will open up, tell my truth, and won’t try to satisfy any ear.“ – Interview by Fempreneur Stories, Maxi Knust
Vor dem Konzert sprechen wir mit der Musikerin und Kulturschaffenden AŸA (Avia Shoshani) über ihre künstlerische Arbeit und ihre Erfahrungen als weibliche Veranstalterin. Das Gespräch führt Theresa „Bi Män“ (audiovisuelle Interventionskünstlerin, DJ*, Sozial- und Kulturanthropologin). Gespräch auf Englisch.
Before the concert starts we will have a short conversation with the musician and producer AŸA (Avia Shoshani) about her artistic work and her experiences as a female artist. The conversation is led by Theresa „Bi Män“ (audiovisual Intervention Artist, DJ*, Social- and Culturalanthropologist).
