Ogaro Ensemble (Munich) w/ Special Guest

DE Das Ogaro Ensemble schafft große musikalische Verbindungen.

EN The Ogaro Ensemble creates great musical connections. The focus is on songs from the eastern Mediterranean. Their offshoots touch northern Macedonia or the Black Sea coast and reach as far as Armenia. Greek Rembetiko, Turkish dance songs, Sephardic Kantigas meet Arabic classics. A musical journey through Salonika, Istanbul, Damascus and Alexandria to Baghdad.

BaShBozouki’s (Munich)

EN The musical concept of Asmir Sabic Chaspa (bouzouki-electronics) is live performance that tells the stories of forested mountain ranges and wild rivers. A musical crossover of melodies, beats, thoughts, an aesthetic that tells about work, the foreign, home and the in-between. It is the music that holds us, that shows us the diversity of the world; written to catch us, to save our souls.

Aquafaba (Chile/Brazil/Argentina/Spain/Italy/Berlin)

EN Re-imagine Brazil’s Tropicalismo expanding through Latin America, from the Andes to the Caribbean, teleporting to modern-day Berlin where Aquafaba can more freely express its psychedelic ’saudade‘ with transgressive lyrics in Portuguese, Spanish, and English full of Folk, Jazz ’n‘ Soul. The band is releasing its second album “Electric City” on July 15, 2022. The duo, Cristóbal Rey (Chile) and Danilo Timm (Brazil), lead the Aquafaba project and welcome their second studio analog recording. The album titled “Electric City” will be released next Summer 2022. The sound of the project reflects the complexity of the meeting of two parallel universes united in one continent: South America. The band moves through robust regional influences and a vast rhythmic range: 70’s Funk and Disco influence, the intrigue of samba, the contagiousness of the “forró” from Northeastern Brazil, the non-linear daring of jazz, and the subtle transgressive freedom of Berlin. Cultural diversity permeates their sound and elegantly reveals itself in their lyrics written in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Environmental preservation, personal empowerment, awareness expansion as well as the manifestation of different kinds of desires are themes present in the inclusive and fabulous world of Aquafaba. In addition to this dynamic duo, a broad multicultural force surrounds the project, there are four more members residing in Berlin, coming from four other corners around the world: Tomás Peralta on bass (Chile), Yanina Lombardi on flute, saxophone and backing vocals (Argentina), Neus Kahlo on violin and backing vocals (Spain) and Pier Ciaccio on drums (Italy).
