Mutaciones means transformation: sounds changing shape, traditions meeting machines, rhythms crossing borders and returning in new forms. For this special night, chucuXchucu brings together two projects connected by Colombian roots and forward-facing vision.
Conjunto Media Luna moves through the space between traditional accordion cumbia and contemporary electronic experimentation. Led by Bogotá-based musician and producer Iván Medellín, the project draws deeply from the musical heritage of Colombia’s Montes de María region while simultaneously channeling decades of sonic mutations shaped across Bogotá, Monterrey, Mexico City, Buenos Aires and beyond.
What emerges is neither folklore revival nor straightforward club music, but a dense hybrid language: sharp accordion melodies, drum machines, psychedelic textures and heavy low-end pressure meeting in hypnotic tension. Over the past years, Conjunto Media Luna has become one of the most distinctive voices within the new wave of experimental cumbia — performing across Europe and Latin America, from intimate underground venues to festivals such as Fusion Festival and Garbicz.
Cósmica Bandida
Cósmica Bandida channel a different but deeply connected form of mutation. The Colombian-German duo combines tropical psychedelia, sci-fi disco, distorted guitars, analog synthesizers and ritualistic percussion into immersive live performances that feel both primal and futuristic. Their sound moves fluidly between cumbia, chicha, experimental electronics and raw dancefloor energy — always balancing chaos and groove, repetition and rupture. Rooted in both live-band dynamics and club-oriented intensity, Cósmica Bandida create sonic spaces where hypnotic rhythms and cosmic textures collide, drawing equally from psychedelic rock, tropical traditions and underground electronic culture. Both acts meet in Munich this week for recording sessions — making this concert a rare moment where studio energy turns directly into live mutation.

Opening and closing the night, chucuXchucu curators Superzona and mrReed guide the dancefloor through hybrid selections shaped by recent journeys between Bogotá, Catatumbo, the Caribbean coast and Munich: tropical nostalgia, electrocumbia, bass-heavy club sounds and rhythmic left turns.
From roots to circuitry, from folklore to future frequencies: MUTACIONES is a night for bodies in motion and sounds in transition.
