[DE] Chupame El Dedo (Lutsch meinen Finger) ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen den kolumbianischen Bands Meridian Brothers und Romperayo, bzw. genauer gesagt zwischen Eblis Alvarez und Pedro Ojeda. Es wurde für eine einmalige Live-Performance im Auftrag von, dem Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, für das Festival „Evil Music“ im Oktober 2013 geschaffen. Die Idee war, den Death-Metal-Sound zu erkunden und gleichzeitig starke tropische Elemente hinzuzufügen. Aufgrund des Erfolges gibt es die Band heute noch. Das erste Album wurde 2016 auf Discrepant Records veröffentlicht. Verzerrte Stimmen, Metal und manchmal sogar Gabberhouse-ähnliche Klischees werden mit einer tropischen Rhythmusgruppe aus Salsa, Cumbia, Currulao und Reggaeton gemischt. Ihr zweites Album No Te Metas Con Satan wurde im Frühjahr 2019 auf Souk (einem Sublabel von Discrepant) veröffentlicht, gefolgt von einer Europatournee, bei der sie u.a. auf Tremor (Azoren) und Alice (Dänemark) spielten. 2023 wurde ihre Single Mi Rehabilitacion/No Seas Malo auf Bongo Joe Records veröffentlicht, und sie spielten auf dem Roskilde Festival, der Bad Bonn Kilbi und dem KlikoFest, um nur einige zu nennen. [EN] Chupame El Dedo (suck my finger), is a collaboration between the Colombian bands Meridian Brothers and Romperayo, or to be more precise, between Eblis Alvarez and Pedro Ojeda respectively. It was created for a one off live performance commissioned by the House of World Cultures in Berlin, for the Festival „Evil Music“ in October 2013. The idea was to explore the death metal sound whilst adding strong tropical elements. Because of the success the band still exists today. The first album was released in 2016 on Discrepant Records. Distorted voices, metal and even sometimes gabberhouse – like clichés are mixed with a tropical rhythm section made of salsa, cumbia, currulao & reggaeton. Their second album No Te Metas Con Satan was released in spring 2019 on Souk (a sublabel of Discrepant), followed by a European tour during which they played a.o. Tremor (Azores) and Alice (Denmark). In 2023 their single Mi Rehabilitacion/No Seas Malo was released on Bongo Joe Records, and they played Roskilde Festival, Bad Bonn Kilbi and KlikoFest, just to name a few. [DE] COSMICA BANDIDA ist ein kolumbianisch-deutsches Duo, das hypnotische Rhythmen, rohe Energie und kosmische Texturen in den Klanggeist der tropischen Psychedelik einfließen lässt. Mit analogen Disco-Synthesizern, kolumbianischen Cumbia-Grooves, peruanischen Chicha-Echos und elektrischen Beats ist ihr Sound sowohl ursprünglich als auch futuristisch. Ihre Live-Auftritte sind eindringliche Rituale, bei denen sich verzerrte Gitarren, Looping-Melodien und tiefe Perkussion mit stampfenden Basslines vermischen und sowohl den Körper als auch die Eingeweide ansprechen.Genres: Sci-Fi Disco, tropische Psychedelia, experimentelle Cumbia, Pop, elektronischer Lärm.
[EN] COSMICA BANDIDA is a Colombian-German duo blending hypnotic rhythms, raw energy, and cosmic textures into the sonic spirit of tropical psychedelia. With analog disco synthesizers, Colombian cumbia grooves, Peruvian chicha echoes and electric beats, their sound is both primal and futuristic. Their live performances are immersive rituals where distorted guitars, looping melodies, and deep percussion intertwine with thumping basslines, engaging both the body and the guts.Genres: Sci-fi disco, tropical psychedelia, experimental cumbia, pop, electronic noise.
