JAZZTIFY! F*ck the Jazz-police! A free-jazz experience
Konzert + DJ-Set
In this edition we explore the abstract forms of free-jazz in a massive multilayered improv session with the New Yorker weirdtrotters Matt Mottel and Kevin Shea aka Talibam! meeting the legendary Embryo and Krautrock-a-teers Karaba. This once in a life time gathering will be food for the Jazz-Gods and an unexpected experience for your ears. If you think you know jazz, forget everything and come by…
This will be an experimental performance art, happening for the first time, so there are no examples to listen. You just have to come and hear for yourself. Smooth vinyl Jazz selection to relax before and after the show. Come together brothers, sisters and diverse siblings and… JAZZTIFY!
Disclaimer: We don’t believe in anything, but music.
Talibam! can be described in various ways — as a classic keyboards/drums expanded-jazz duo, as Dadaist provocateurs with an innate love for the history of music, as a theater group, as an electronic ensemble inspired by Stockhausen.
The legendary band Embryo is around since 1969, still evolving, living through generations and crossing boarders. A international collective, with influences from all over the world and a rare gem of musical creativity.
Being from Munich, a town where legendary Kraut Rock bands like Amon Düül, Guru Guru and Embryo came from, the Karaba guys are obviously influenced by these German kraut and psychedelic sounds. Over the last years they gained international reputation with their latest album releases and as a phenomenal live act.
