What is JAZZTIFY?
Genres are melting under the pressure of a young generation, that is redefining old statutes and will be seen as a trailblazer for a new found freedom in Jazz. We will continue to open doors into every universe of this ongoing process and invite you to become a witness and part of it. If you think you know Jazz, forget everything and come by. For visual enlightenment we have Studio Auge with a live performed video synthesis light-show.

[EN] ‘Sababa 5’, based in Tel Aviv, was formed by a group of musicians known for their work for some of Tel Aviv’s top artists/vocalists, such as Gili Yalo, Ester Rada, and Liraz Charhi, as well as with famous groups like Hoodna Orchestra, Tigris, and Kutiman Orchestra. With members’ influences that range from wrecking crew recordings from the ’60s, to analog Middle Eastern music from the ’70s, the sound of the band constantly revolves around different genres and rhythms, yet, in its core, ‘Sababa 5’ is always a groove-centric band. The music of Sababa 5 centers around mediterranean rhythms and melodies, together with sounds from the world of rock and psychedelic funk, creating a real mix of east and west.
In September 2022, the band delivered their long-promised, and self-titled album of original instrumentals, built around the band’s distinct mix of Middle Eastern psych, funk and disco groove.
