[DE] Philadelphia OGs They Are Gutting A Body Of Water kommen ins Import Export. Es ist etwas was wir nie geglaubt hätten, hätte jemand uns das vor Jahren erzählt. Aber nun passiert es tatsächlich vor unseren Augen. Nicht nur hat der Philly Shoegaze Sound unsere lokale Bandszene stark beeinflusst, aber auch new basement als ein Musiklabel. Die DIY Gedanken deren Labels Julia’s War war für uns immer ein Vorbild gewesen und immer noch einzigartig in ihrer Art zu verbunden zu bleiben zu ihren Wurzeln & lokalen Bandszene – von selbstgemachten Kassetten bis hin zu Unterstützung von Newcomer Bands der eigenen Stadt.
[EN] Philadelphia OGs They Are Gutting A Body Of Water are coming into town. Something we would never have believed to happen a couple of years ago is now right in front of our eyes. Not only did the Philly shoegaze sound inspire the local band scene, but also newbasement as a music label. The DIY mindset of their own recording label Julia’s War is still up to date very unique and true in it’s way to stay connected to their roots – from making selfmade tapes to helping many newcomer bands to touch ground and tour.

[DE] Von Stereogum als „die wichtigste Band des modernen Shoegaze“ bezeichnet, hat TAGABOW sich einen Namen gemacht, indem sie das Genre mit einer experimentellen Note angehen. Ihre Liveshows enthalten EDM-Zwischenspiele und greifen Einflüsse wie Drum’n’Bass der 90er und N64-Soundtracks auf. Die Band spielt auf dem Boden und steht dabei bewusst einander gegenüber. Egal welches Chaos im Moshpit um sie herum ausbricht – TAGABOW richtet den Blick nach innen.
[EN] Hailed by Stereogum as “the most important band in modern shoegaze,” TAGABOW made their name approaching the genre with an experimental edge. Their live show incorporates EDM interludes, drawing on influences like ’90s drum & bass and N64 soundtracks. The band performs on the floor, purposely facing each other. No matter what chaos erupts in the mosh pit around them, TAGABOW looks inward.
Trauma Glow
Tested live throughout Trauma Glow’s Winter ’25 EU tour (AT, CZ, DE, IT, SK), USED AIR’s remix of “everytime i say goodbye to you” arrives January 23. The Vienna-based duo translates the energy of Trauma Glow’s 2024 single into an indie-electronic sound, with the release landing on USED AIR’s self-titled label. The remix reflects an expanded collaboration and a shift toward a more hybrid, electronic approach within Trauma Glow’s recorded work. Guitar music remains central, but synthesis
and sampling have been incorporated into the writing process. Since their formation in 2023, Trauma Glow has released two EPs and performed extensively across Europe. Alongside this remix, USED AIR is handling production and mixing for Trauma Glow’s new EP, Times New Roman, scheduled for winter 2026.
