(EN) Charlotte Bendiks is a DJ and Producer, who’s best known for her experimental approach to (electronic) music. She began her DJing career as a Teenager, playing at the local Clubs in the small town of Tromsø, which is also home to Mental Overdrive, Bjorn Torske, Royksopp and Biosphere, despite itsmeager 75.000 inhabitants. Bendiks describes her style as Body Music, her House inspired DJ-sets are praised to induce intimacy and euphoria, reflecting the energy of the crowd. While a randomly picked set of Charlotte Bendiks will most likely be classified as House, on closer inspection you’ll find it seasoned with traditional rhythms from all over the world, including her own ancestors of the Sami culture.
Clicklounge
Clicklounge might ring one bell or another since we’ve invited him 4 years ago, causing lots of happy memories. For a quick overview, in case your bell isn’t ringing: Clicklounge acts as booking-agent and resident-DJ in one of eastern Europe’s most acclaimed clubs, Opium. Thanks to Opium and its everlasting pioneers V and Manfredas, Lithuania’s capital Vilnius is one of the European hotspots concerning club culture.In addition to his residency Clicklounge is co-hosting Joudomene a series of events sporting guests like D. Tiffany, Gesloten Cirkel and John Talabot. Announcing dances from mutant disco to ceremonial rhythms.

(DE) Charlotte Bendiks ist eine norwegische DJ und Musikproduzentin, die für ihre experimentelle Herangehensweise an elektronische Musik bekannt ist. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Tromsø, einer Stadt im Norden Norwegens, entwickelte Bendiks früh eine Leidenschaft für Musik und begann schon als Teenagerin in lokalen Clubs aufzulegen.
Ihren Stil bezeichnet sie als Body Music, Ihre DJ-Sets sind dafür bekannt, euphorische und sinnliche Zustände zu erzeugen und die Energie ihres Publikums zu spiegeln. Die Sets sind von einer breiten Palette an Einflüssen geprägt, die nicht nur Electronica, sondern auch traditionelle Genres aus aller Welt beinhaltet. Dabei lässt sie gerne auch traditionelle Elemente der samischen Kultur in ihr Schaffen einfließen, die sie in ihrer Kindheit kennengelernt hat.
