Unsere Outdoor Season beginnt wieder am 29. Mai. Den ganzen Sommer werden wir mit euch auf dem Spiegelplatz tolle Konzerte erleben, die heißen Monate feiern und das Zusammensein genießen. Wir freuen uns auf ein grandioses Opening mit Yarákä und Pnema!
Yarákä (Taranto, Italy)
[DE] Im Jahr 2015 gegründet, war das Yarákä-Projekt stets darauf bedacht, ihre multiethnische Komponente zu betonen und zu feiern. Insbesondere die gemeinsame rhythmische Matrix aus Afrika fungiert als Katalysator für Experimente, in der sich Klänge und Einflüsse des Mittelmeerraums und Süditaliens treffen. Das Ensemble, bestehend aus drei Musikern aus Taranto, Gianni Sciambaruto, Virginia Pavone und Simone Carrino, versucht, persönliche Identitäten auszudrücken und Traditionen wiederzuentdecken, und dabei eine Offenheit gegenüber Moderne und kulturübergreifender Verschmelzung zu bewahren.
[ENG] The Yarákä project, which began in 2015, has always been attentive to emphasizing and celebrating their multi-ethnic component, in particular the common rhythmic matrix coming from Africa, which acts as a catalyst and allows for experimentation in a bold crossing over of Mediterranean and Southern Italian sounds and influences. The ensemble, composed of three musicians from Taranto, Gianni Sciambarruto, Virginia Pavone, and Simone Carrino, seeks to express personal identity and to rediscover traditions with an openness towards modernity and cross-culture contamination.
Yarákä’s repertoire is steeped in rituals: each song recounts the exorcism of evil from the soul or of a fear that blocks the flow of energy, finding healing through an ancestral song, as happens in other southern traditions in America. The importance of the „Curandera“, a figure who has learned to take care of herself and others, highlights the connection that exists with the shamanic world where the figure of a woman is also present. She is often of Andean origin and serves the same purpose: a presence who lives in contact with the earth and respects the forces of nature, which in turn respect her in her integrity of spirit.
Pnema (Greece, Muc)
[ENG] The love for the melodies of Manos Hadjidakis brought the musicians of Pnema together in Munich in the summer of 2018. Musicians with different roots (from Greece, Turkey and Germany) but with one thing in common: a love of music, crazy rhythms and making music together. Their repertoire includes old and new songs from Asia Minor and Greece, melodies that linger in your mind for days and absolutely danceable repertoire from the psychedelic south.
[DE] Die Liebe zu Melodien von Manos Hadjidakis brachte die Musiker von Pnema im Sommer 2018 in München zusammen. Musiker mit unterschiedlichen Wurzeln (aus Griechenland, der Türkei und Deutschland) aber einer Gemeinsamkeit der Liebe zur Musik, verrückten Rhythmen und dem gemeinsamen musizieren. Ihr Repertoire umfasst alte und neue Lieder aus Kleinasien und Griechenland, Melodien, welche noch Tage in einem nachklingen und unbedingt tanzbares Repertoire aus dem psychedelischen Süden.
