Palestinale Hangout
Mi. 17.12.25
Vernetzung, Film
Einlass: 18:30
Beginn: 19:30

The Palestinale Collective invites you to Glühwein and cake while discussing Palestinian short films about the history of Palestine, everyday life, and visions in a sometimes hopeless situation. In “In the future they ate from the finest porcelain,” Larissa Sansour uses the lens of the sci-fi genre to look at a narrative resistance group that carries out archaeological interventions to manifest the existence of a territorially displaced civilization in history.
“Maradona’s legs” by Firas Khoury, tells the story of two boys who, during the 1990 World Cup, are searching for the last sticker in their sticker album: Maradona’s legs.
Following the films, there will be a discussion with May Odeh about film as an artistic practice in dealing with the Palestinian reality. May Odeh is a film producer and director from Birzeit and has been living in Munich for several years. Among other projects, she produced “Maradona’s Legs.“
