[DE] Das Münchener Trio Carl Gari arbeitet seit fast acht Jahren mit dem ägyptischen Dichter, Sänger und Künstler Abdullah Miniawy zusammen. Als sie sich 2015 in Kairo kennenlernten, war sofort eine musikalische und persönliche Verbindung vorhanden. 2016 brachten sie mit “Darraje” auf dem Londoner Label The Trilogy Tapes ihre erste gemeinsame Platte heraus, gefolgt von dem Minialbum “The Act Of Falling From The 8th Floor” 2019 auf AD93. Neben der Veröffentlichung weiterer Musik auf Berlin Atonal Recordings und Mother’s Finest trugen sie 2021 zur Online-Ausgabe des Rewire Festivals bei. Das 36-minütige Video kombiniert Performance-Material mit filmischen Elementen und wurde später von fact mag veröffentlicht. Im folgenden Jahr gründete Carl Gari, bestehend aus den Musikern Jonas Yamer, Till Funke und Jonas Friedlich, ein neues Sublabel von Yamers Label Molten Moods, das nach dem Bandprojekt benannt und ausschließlich diesem gewidmet ist. Die erste Veröffentlichung “Between The Bullet And The Front Sight, Casting Lots” ist ein Live-Minialbum, das aus dem erwähnten Rewire-Auftritt hervorgegangen ist und im Münchner Museum Haus der Kunst aufgezeichnet wurde. Man munkelt, dass bis Ende 2023 eine Debüt-LP erscheinen soll.
[ENG] German trio Carl Gari have been collaborating with egyptian poet, singer and artist Abdullah Miniawy for close to eight years now. They first met in Cairo where they immediately found a musical and personal connection. After Debuting back in 2016 on The Trilogy Tapes with Darraje, they released The Act Of Falling From The 8th Floor to critical acclaim in 2019 on AD93. Besides releasing further music on Berlin Atona lRecordings and Mother’s Finest, they contributed to Rewire Festival’s 2021 online edition. Combining performance foot age with cinematic elements, the 36-minute video was later published by fact mag. The following year Carl Gari, made up of musicians Jonas Yamer, Till Funke and Jonas Friedlich, established a new sublabel of Yamer’s Molten Moods imprint, named after and solely dedicated to the band project. The first release Between The Bullet And The Front Sight, Casting Lots is a live mini-album that resulted from the mentioned Rewire performance which was recorded at the munich museum Haus der Kunst. Rumour has it that they are releasing a debut LP by the end of 2023.

[DE] Seducation legt organisch-analoge Tanzmusikplatten auf mit Fokus auf Afrika, Lateinamerika und die MENA-Region, macht sich dabei frei von allzu strengem 4-to-the-floor Diktat und sagt niemals nein zu einer anständigen psychedelischen Note im Abgang.
