[DE] Melina stammt aus einer Familie, in der die mündliche Weitergabe traditioneller Musik einen zentralen Stellenwert einnimmt. Als Griechin trägt sie dieses Erbe in ihrer Stimme, die sich durch melismatische Verzierungen und emotionale Tiefe auszeichnet. Sie absolvierte eine umfassende Ausbildung in Gesang und Oud am Konservatorium für orientalische Musik in Gennevilliers und setzte ihr Studium der traditionellen Musik in Griechenland fort. Nach dieser Zeit des Forschens und Lernens startete Melina ihr eigenes Musikprojekt: ein poetisches, urbanes und magisches Universum, in dem traditionelle Musik mit Pop-Einflüssen verschmilzt. Sie umgibt sich mit virtuosen Musikern, um eine einzigartige, einfühlsame und kraftvolle Ästhetik zum Leben zu erwecken. Ihre für Juni geplante Debüt-EP ist der erste Ausdruck.
[EN] Melina was born into a family where the oral transmission of traditional music holds a central place. Of Greek origin, she carries this heritage through her voice, rich in melismatic ornamentation and emotional depth. She trained extensively in singing and oud at the Conservatory of Oriental Music in Gennevilliers, and continued studying traditional music in Greece. After this period of research and learning, Melina launched her own musical project: a poetic, urban, and magical universe, where traditional music blends with pop influences. She surrounds herself with virtuoso musicians to bring to life a unique, sensitive, and powerful aesthetic. Her debut EP, scheduled for June, is its first expression.
MAHA (Sudan/Netherlands)
[DE] Maha ist eine sudanesische multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, Zine-Publisherin, Musikerin und Model mit Sitz in den Niederlanden. In den letzten Jahren hat sie sich als Punk-Künstlerin neu erfunden und ist die Gründerin von Mahazine, einem selbstveröffentlichten DIY-Zine, das Raum für Aktivismus, Geschichten aus der Diaspora und Intersektionalität schafft.
Mahas Mission ist es, ihre Kreativität als Werkzeug des Widerstands gegen Unterdrückung, Vorurteile und Zuschreibungen zu nutzen – und gleichzeitig als Ausdruck von Selbstentfaltung und Gemeinschaft. Das zeigt sich auch in ihrer Musik, in der sie Poly Styrene von X-Ray Spex, Sinéad O’Connor, Amyl & The Sniffers und Grace Jones als Inspirationsquellen nennt.
[EN] Maha is a Sudanese multidisciplinary artist, zine publisher, musician, and model based in the Netherlands. In recent years, she has reinvented herself as a punk artist and founder of Mahazine, a self-published DIY zine that carves out space for activism, stories from the diaspora, and intersectionality.
Maha’s mission is to use her creativity as a tool of resistance against oppression, prejudice, and labels—and as a celebration of self-expression and community. This extends to her music, where she cites Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex, Sinéad O’Connor, Amyl & The Sniffers, and Grace Jones as sources of inspiration.

[DE] Die BalkanSistas bringen den „Fest & Feier Spirit“ der Balkanhalbinsel nach München, eine Mischung von World Beats, Gipsy, Ethno, Punk, Klezmer, Swing & Greek roots.

Dr. Ywall (Munich/Canada)
[DE] Emilie Gendron aka munichagain ist eine aus Montreal stammende Veranstalterin, die seit 2014 Konzerte, Performances und Festivals in München organisiert. Letztens ist sie auch unter dem Namen Dr. Ywall als DJ zu finden mit mostly-FLINTA* Sounds für die Tanzfläche und außerhalb. Seit Anfang 2025 ist sie Co-Host bei Ovaryaction Radio auf 674FM, einer feministischen Sendung, die jeden 1. Mittwoch im Monat läuft.
[EN] Emilie Gendron, also known as munichagain, is an event organiser originally from Montreal who has been organising concerts, performances and festivals in Munich since 2014. Recently, she has also been DJing under the name Dr. Ywall, mostly FLINTA* sounds for the dance floor and beyond. Since early 2025, she has been co-hosting Ovaryaction Radio on 674FM, a feminist programme that airs every first Wednesday of the month.
