RecordAR: Analog and Digital Identities

RecordAR features work by artists across generations, created in a range of mediums, and often at different stages in their careers. Curated around the themes of memory and identity, it provides a space for interdisciplinary artistic experiments. Launched in July, the program connected youth with diverse backgrounds and artists based in Munich (Germany) and Gyumri (Armenia), bringing them together to explore the intersection of analog and digital art forms for sharing untold stories. It started with stone printing and progressed into multimedia art, with experimentation in augmented and virtual realities. It provided a space for exploring, experimenting through new forms of creation. On October 5th, the closing circle exhibition of RecordAR will showcase an immersive collection of diverse artworks, combining physical and virtual dimensions, and highlighting the final works created throughout the program. The exhibition will feature live sound performances as well DJ-Sets from both local and international artists.

Kaleidoskop hosted by Taiga & Momo Novus

[EN] Artists who, alongside their passion for music, also share the Refugio Art Workshop studio, will showcase their skills this evening with self-produced and self-written songs. Their diverse musical and linguistic roots come together across the genres of soul, pop, and rap. What unites these rappers and singers is a shared vision of creative collaboration. Through captivating beats and lyrics, perspectives shift — like through a kaleidoscope.

Ian Jakab – IbuProPhet

[EN] Ian Jakab, aka IbuProPhet, shares music as a remedy for world-weariness. Having grown up on three continents, he weaves together an eclectic mix of vinyl treasures: South and Central American cumbias, rediscovered world beats, dubby post-wave soundscapes, and a touch of Eastern grooves — in short, music for the soul. Guaranteed no placebo. In 2021, he built the DJ-BIKE — a solar-powered cargo e-bike with a sound system and DJ booth. With it, he started the non-profit series Soundtrack for the City — inviting DJs and sound artists from Munich’s subculture scene to bring music into public spaces and share it with the community. Since 2024, he has hosted the radio show “Hinter den Bergen” on Radio Lora Munich, blending forgotten flea-market records from around the world and giving the music new life in a contemporary context.

Soft Violet

Soft Violet is the solo-project of Armenian/Belgian artist and multi-instrumentalist Veronica Burnuthian. Drummachine, Synths & Effects: Soft Violet crafts cinematic soundscapes blended with electronic IDM glitchcore beats, characterized by distorted textures, dynamic rhythms, melodic patterns; from ambient dreamscapes to pulsating beats, both hypnotic and stimulating in its core. The lyrics are whispered, sung, spoken, powerful and softly in Armenian, French, English and German; delivered in the first person as a reflection of raw emotions diving into her armenian heritage, queer identity, women’s sexual freedom and generational grief: an introspective rêverie to every soul looking for warmth and party.
